My name is Sam Pletcher and I'm currently a pending junior (taking a gap year) on a Pre-Med track at Yale University. I graduated from Tam High in 2018 and was a member of the Varsity Baseball team. During my time at Tam I took eight AP and six Honors courses, including Calculus AB and BC, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Spanish. I continued taking all of these subjects at Yale until the dinosaur-obsessed five-year-old inside of me took over and convinced me to major in Evolutionary Biology.

My specialties are in STEM, where I took the majority of my high school and college coursework, and Spanish, where I learned the language through seven years of classes and speaking with my Puerto Rican family. I have prior experience tutoring Algebra and Geometry. I am also comfortable tutoring English and History up to the AP level.

I'm an avid SF sports fan and enjoy playing baseball, basketball, football, and frisbee. I have spent previous summers coaching at Mt. Tam Adventures Flag Football and Hawks Baseball Camp, as well as coaching 12U girls travel softball with the Marin Tremors. Some of my other hobbies include hiking, cooking, and playing video games.
